Disappointment

In the disappointment of a defeat, a child may seem to find little comfort in our saying, "But you really tried hard and I'm proud of you." It takes time to get over a disappointment.

負けたことに打ちひしがれている子供には、「でもあなたは本当に頑張ったし、そんなあなたを誇りに思う」という我々の声掛けなんてちっとも効かないように見えるかもしれません。失望を乗り越えるのには時間がかかるのです。
