My balloon elephant wouldn't fit in the backseat of the car, so I had to pop the trunk.

車のトランクをポンと開ける(pop the trunk)と象の鼻(trunk)をかけた言葉遊び。「pop the balloon 」というと風船をポンッと割るですが、象の鼻だけをポンッと割るっていうのは、無理な気が、、、。
