tug of war

I've noticed that whenever you have two teams playing tug of war, they're always puller opposites.

「puller opposites」は直訳すると「引っ張る者の反対側」という意味ですが、「polar opposites（全く反対のもの）」と似ています。綱引きだけに、両チーム引っ張りあうからジョークになる？！あんまりおもしろくないなあ。
